The Emancipation Proclamation: January 1st, 1863. One hundred days ago, President Abraham Lincoln issued an ultimatum to the South - either lay down your arms or set all slaves free. Tensions are building and the President must make a crucial decision. The Ohio volunteers, slaves and abolitionists pray for the emancipation.

The Gettysburg address: November 19th, 1863. President Abraham Lincoln is set to address a crowd in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania to dedicate a cemetery memorializing the Union soldiers who died in battle. Prior to the speech, both northerners and southerners, including one of Grant's generals, General Sherman and the President of the Confederacy, Jefferson Davis voice their conflicting opinions about the war and what they anticipate will be said by Lincoln.
